An anthropological introduction to YouTube
Found this over on GrokLaw, but the guy who put out the Web 2.0 ... The Machine is Us/ing Us video has posted a video of his June 2008 presentation to the Library of Congress - an An anthropological introduction to YouTube.
It's 55 minutes long, but worth it.

SEC Accepts Blogs as Fair Disclosure
While I don't hear as much complaints from the "media" about blogs not being valid news sources, this is patently no longer true if they do try and make that claim. I heard rumblings of it earlier, but this morning I saw over on Slashdot that the SEC now accepts the use of corporate websites and blogs as acceptable distribution medium for "Fair Disclosure".
By definition, blogs are now primary news sources.......

Moved George's Artwork
The Artist in the Family
As I mentioned in this news item, I have begun moving the photo galleries to picasa. Today, I moved George's artwork to picasa and added two more pieces that I scanned today.

I have a bunch more drawings to scan and upload. George is on a kick of sketching in pencil drawings he sees in a Dungeons and Dragons book we have. Pretty damn good if you ask me.

Cleveland RockZ
Apparently, a national gathering of DatsunZ enthusiasts will be descending upon Cleveland in late September. Apparently, there is a car show, performance driving, a visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a cruise on the Goodtime III. For more information, see:
The only reason I know about this is since I help maintain the Japanese Association of Northeast Ohio's website, I was asked to post information in Japanese for it.
If you are one of those enthusiasts coming to Cleveland, I'd like to recommend Sandy Mitchell's Cleveland pages on About.Com. In particular, the Visitor's Guide and the Things To Do pages. Of course there is always Postively Cleveland, the official website of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Cleveland.
Z enthusiasts residing in NEO, may want to visit the Z Association of Cleveland, Ohio site.
